Tencent Institute of Games 2022 Game Design Open Course

July 2022 - Oco 2022

This marks my first foray into the gaming industry, where I began to view my favorite games from a designer's perspective for the first time. Teaming up with fellow classmates, we embarked on creating an "open-world JRPG game."

My primary responsibilities included character modeling, rigging, and contributing to level design for certain sections.

Lost in Light

School Project

This is my personal independent game project, where I designed a platform jumping game with a twist, revolving around the impact of light pollution on avian spatial orientation. I handled the entire process from conceptualization and art to programming. Furthermore, I later upgraded and modified the game, earning multiple awards in academic competitions.

Escape from Pursuit

2023 Global Game Jam ”Root” (72h)

It is an ARPG game. The player takes on the role of a king that splits automatically to gaindifferent abilities and moves to escape from enemy attack. Primarily responsible for environment art and contributed to gameplay design.

Beyond the Headlines

2023 NetEase Game Jam ( 1 month)

May 2023 - Apr 2023

This is an ARPG game that incorporates Roguelike elements. The player takes on the goal of a journalist on aperilous quest to uncover the truth about a small town.Mid-Journey was employed to create the concept plan and art scheme, which are modified during modelling.I also handled the design and animation of weapons, and constructed the level with Unreal’s terrain editor.

Serenade of the Northern Star

The game featured a VR experience where players embody the North Star and embark on a mystical forestjourney alongside a shepherd. It’s my first VR game and the first time to make full process 3D game. The game fortunately won several awards.

Speculative Food Design Workshop in School

Adapted from my workshop” Green Washing” theme animation. Players will play the role of waiters serving the diners, each of whom corresponds to a disciple of the LastSupper and has different skills and nutritional needs. Players need to serve as many guests as possible in alimited number of rounds and earn the most tips to win.

Crab Dif

2023 GMTK 48h Game Jam

July 2023

Developed a game Crab Dif based on the theme Role Reversal. In the game, player no longer controls theattacker but the non-attacking crab that needs to survive by dodging attacks.Responsible for the character modeling, texturing and animation production, as well as the rendering of gamescenes in UE.

2023 Gigabit Game Development Summer Bootcamp 72h Game Jam(2rd Prize)

Grand Closing

Grand Closing, a 3D cartoon style casual game that won the 2 nd prize. The player acts as a deliveryman travelling between suppliers and shops. Faster and more accurate delivery will earn higher points. Responsible for crafting the art style and rendering art assets within Unity engine. Made scene props and character animations.

A 6-month online internship involving research and analysis of cutting-edge entertainment and gaming trends among young people. I also participated in commercial projects, writing category reports based on user research and data analysis. Here are some reports. (Only Chinese)

2023 Gigabit 48h Game Jam (nomination award)

It's a SLG (Strategy-Learning Game) based on the theme of "Breath". The gameplay revolves around players needing to occupy more land resources. I primarily handled 2D art and technical art. The game successfully received a nomination among over 300 entries.

This project is based on the regional planning of Yangshan Town in Wuxi and aims to address the need fortransformation and upgrading through educational tourism. It incorporates future technology, such as Augmented Reality (AR), and employs gamification techniques to breath new life into the local peach culture. Based on site investigation, used Arduino to make a prototype device that can interact with the cultural travel App; completed the design and animation of AR interaction process.

Clin People Rebellion

Undergraduate graduation Project

An action-adventure game set in a future where individuals transfer their consciousness into clin. The government hosts the "Clin People Championship." Players guide Challenger 42, the top puppet champ, to stay alive. Unexpectedly, Challenger 42 starts talking and exposes a secret plot.
